Agenda 2063 Curriculum Mapping for Educators

This module introduces educators to Agenda 2063, the African Union’s long-term development framework, and its vision for an integrated, prosperous, peaceful, and people-centred Africa. Participants explore the historical context, African values, and transformational ambitions underpinning Agenda 2063, as well as its relevance to education systems across Africa. The module positions educators as key enablers of Africa’s transformation, highlighting the central role of education in shaping identity, skills, innovation, citizenship, and leadership aligned with Agenda 2063.

This module introduces educators to the Second Ten-Year Implementation Plan (STYIP) of Agenda 2063 and explains how Africa’s long-term vision is translated into time-bound priorities, aspirations, and moonshots for 2024–2033. Educators explore the 7 Aspirations and associated Moonshots as practical transformation targets and learn how these can be interpreted as education themes, competencies, and learning outcomes across primary, secondary, TVET, and higher education.
