Lecture - Social Inclusion, Just Transition and Youth Employment
This module examines the social dimension of Africa’s green transition, focusing on social inclusion, just transition principles and youth employment. Learners explore how climate action and green economic reforms can either deepen inequality or create inclusive opportunities depending on policy choices, skills development and stakeholder engagement. Using African-centred examples, the module highlights the importance of equity, decent work, gender inclusion and youth participation in ensuring Africa’s green transition leaves no one behind, in line with Agenda 2063 and Africa’s demographic realities.
